External Web Reservations

SkyWare's Outward Facing Web Reservation site may be accessed through Skyware by using the Web Reservations command found in the Web section of the Other Front Desk Tasks Menu, which provides a view of the interface seen by the end user when they make a reservation from the web. This can be useful if a customer calls with questions while trying to make a web reservation.

ALL Skyware customers are invited to purchase a (ADA compliant) version of our Outward Facing Web Reservation site, tailored to your specific initial needs by Skyware's own WebMaster, who will enact any desired customization for you. If you have not yet already, and wish to purchase a Web Reservation (Web Booking Engine) site version to be used by your Property, please contact us at  Sales@SkywareSystems.com.

Customizing the information shown on this screen allows you to alter the appearance dramatically, by adding your Property image and accommodation images, and allows you to include as much or as little information about the rooms or sites available at your Property as you wish, to add any declaimers, your custom confirmation or cancellation policies, to specify any packages, add-ons or activities available, select what rate plan types should be used for booking on the web (including any negotiated rates if desired) and add a message (via the message board) to the general screen display to be seen when the web page is opened. This provides flexibility and allows you to keep your outward facing web reservation system appearing current. Depending on your Skyware Systems set-up, you may or may not have a quick menu option for the Other Front Desk Tasks Menu area. If you can, select Other => from the Quick Menu on the left side of the screen.

Select Other => from the Other section (bottom right) of the Full Menu.

Click the icon on the left or the words "Full Menu" on the right for the Full menu.

This will display the Full menu in a tabular form, with four sections, Registration, Status, Cashier and Other.

From the Other Section, select Other =>.

This will display the Other Front Desk Tasks Menu.

 

The Other Front Desk Tasks Menu area is divided into four sections: Other List 1, Other List 2, Documents and Web.

The Web Reservation command is in the Web Section of the Other Front Desk Tasks Menu.

When selected, the Outward Facing Web Reservation site will appear, showing the booking site as it is will be viewed on-line by any potential guests.

The guest will select the dates, the desired room type and the number of adults and children, as well as any other available options (such as Packages, Add-ons or Activities) that they wish. A valid credit card will need to be entered by the guest in order to save the reservation. When the reservation has been completed, the system will display a confirmation screen with the confirmation number, and the reservation will be added into the Skyware system (viewable as usual as a Stay screen, (folio) for the guest, with the RESV status applied to the specific folio).
